Rose Wonder Piece of Cake Birthday Card

The theme at Stampin' Royalty this week is a Color Challenge!

Well, since i always seem to gravitate towards Birthday cards,
why make this week any different, right? haha..
As i was trying to come up with a design, i looked through my pack of Cherry On Top paper for a possible paper to use that had these colors in them. When i came upon the Watermelon Wonder one with the slices of cake on it, i thought to myself, i bet i could make one of these out of cardstock and have it be the main focal point of  the card...
as my brain started working, i came up with a basic idea of the card above. I then set about making the slice of cake. it took me trying it twice to get it right, but i think it turned out pretty good!
I will be making a video tutorial soon on how i made it, and the card!

Supplies:
Cardstock - Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder, Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Ink - Top Top Taupe Watermelon Wonder
Stamps - Rose Wonder
Accessories - Balloon Bouquet Punch, Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Party Punch Pack, Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack

My Very First Stampin' Tutorial Video!

Well, i have been wanting to do it for several years now, but i finally made it happen!
My VERY FIRST Stampin' Video Tutorial!

In this video, i explain how i made THIS card. So if you need a supply list, you can refer to that post, as i have included it there.

I need to find a way to improve the quality of the video itself for my next one, but i do hope you like it! My favorite part is the little animation my 12 year old daughter made for me as an opener :o)

By the Tide, From Land to Sea, Wetlands Birthday Card

We could either use green in our project, which i did, or upcycle/recycle something.

This card was totally inspired by THIS awesome card by Susan Best at Stampin' Inferno
Love her card!

I began by embossing the Pear Pizzazz background panel with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, then on a Whisper White panel, i used my sponges and created a mottled background, then sprinkled water on it to give it an underwater or bubble effect... Such a cool technique!
I then stamped the fan coral along the bottom.
After stamping, coloring, and cutting out the Sea Turtles, i adhered them to the panel using Dimensionals. I added some Baked Brown Sugar Bakers Twine in a criss cross pattern on the side. The twine is no longer available, but any natural type string or twine would work nicely. I then stamped the sentiment from the Wetlands set in Garden Green, punched it out using the Large Oval punch, and lightly inked the edges with Pear Pizzazz.
For the final touch, i put some White Perfect Accents on to enhance the final product, then i sat back and looked at it for a few minutes! I really like how it turned out!
